This semester we have gotten through 2 workbooks with Cameron and he is really enjoying it! I even heard him playing the other day and he said, "I'll be the Israelites!" Pretty sure he had no idea what he was saying but he is learning.
One goal was to get him more spiritually grounded, and I do think we've done that some. He is interested, not turning away from the word and doesn't question God's relevance or Jesus' sacrifice. He just took a test on the 3rd book which covered John the Baptist, Jesus' birth, and the beginning of his ministry. He was super proud of his work and so was I!
Note: Cameron particularly likes that Jesus answered Satan back with smart comments when he was trying to tempt Jesus in the dessert. I may have read them a little bit snarky, but Cameron is drawn to anyone who is confident. "You shall not tempt the Lord your God."
