5 Months with Cameron

SMART BOY: ANYTHING TO GET OUT OF SCHOOL:

I have taken Cameron to Magic Nails before. He also took his multiplication workbook.

This morning

Cam: "Mom, are you going to go to the nails place today?"

Me: "No."

Cam: "Well, I saw your nails and they look pretty bad."

Anything to get out of the house.

REGROUP:

Things aren't going well. Cameron is smart, academics are not a problem. The problem is his determination to make it a lot harder than it has to be. Every. Day.

Unfortunately we can't do school when he has a bad attitude, when he won't sit at the table, or complains about every little thing. Of course, he only does it when Richard isn't at home so we've had a few battles that were pretty sad, and completely unnecessary.

I'm hoping we'll regroup at some point, get to his "fun" list and finish our semester with a few more things marked off my goals. I want this young man to be the boy God made him to be, I'm praying that I'll have the patience to see it through.
