Richard took us to the beach. He doesn't love it, but there's something awesome about the waves, the water, the sand, the change of pace. We went to our favorite place, not necessarily in our favorite houses, but on the beautiful white sand at Carillon. The families there were social distancing and yet enjoying the water and waves with their families. I felt safe at all times. Florida is a hot spot for Corona, but we didn't contract it while we were there. When we made the plans, Ryan was limited on how far he could go from base, but the week before we left, he was allowed to go further so we packed their car and took them with us.
Cameron has only been to the beach in December of 2018. I wasn't sure he'd like it, with the fish and all. But the boy WOULD NOT get out of the water. I'm talking, all day he played. He made the sweetest friends from Mississippi, their parents loved him and wanted to call him after we left! Cameron will be on board if we want to go back.
Richard had to take some phone calls (one while we were actually on the beach) but he also enjoyed playing games and playing in the water with the kids. The water was a wonderfully cool temperature and the sun was beautiful. I enjoyed sitting in the sun, and also under our tent and enjoying the breeze. It's a treat to go, and the older my kids get, the easier it is. Except the drive, which was OK too.
