Spencer joined us for the week and it was fun to have his competitive and fun personality added to the group. He brought the count to 11, and Mimi made 12. When she left Gma and Gpa came, which took us up to 13. They left before dinner and we were back to 11!! We were in 3 cars and they were FULL of coolers, suitcases, sports equipment, and games!
Big family is fun when we all work together. We had two huge lodge spaces with room for everyone! Mimi stayed two nights with us and Grandma and Grandpa visited for one afternoon!
We played games, cards, walked and played outside, drove through two sets of Christmas displays, spaz (on a pool table), did crafts, cooked meals, watched the National Treasure movies, and had a great time being together! The big kids stayed up on New Year's Eve and celebrated with sparkling juice and special snacks. Richard and I were asleep before then!
For Christmas, the kids treated us to a meal together (just Richard and I!) at the fancy TOP OF THE ROCK restaurant. We dressed up a little and had a special dinner together while the kids took care of themselves. Having big kids has it's special perks! It was a thoughtful gift!
So thankful for the opportunity to have these memories! We didn't take too many pictures because we were relaxed and having a good time!
