We loaded up and drove about 2 hours to the Grand Canyon on day 2. It was the only day that we were to have visibility and the only day it wasn't supposed to be snowing. It was SUPER COLD up on the rim and the view was amazing. We didn't stay too long, as the wind and cold just seeped through all our layers. We helped a car get out of a ditch, were in lines of traffic, and when we were done viewing and walking through the few stores and lodge foyer, we were ready to leave.
The lines were miles long to enter the park when we were gone. We missed getting in that traffic by just a couple hours. We grabbed lunch and ICE CREAM (because there's never a bad time for it) and headed home to the fireplaces and our warm house. Games, naps, and a movie took up the rest of the day.
On Thursday some of the kids went sledding, we played more games and we also went out to eat dinner in Flagstaff.
