(This post is written in retrospect)
March 16:
Today was the beginning of the world looking a lot different. There is nothing on the news except about the Coronavirus. It has come to the US from China and is highly contagious. We haven't ever had this kind of thing. No one knows what to do, but the president and governor are giving updates every day.
Schools have closed. Definitely through spring break, maybe longer. Teachers are posting videos and we have driven through the schools to get books to work through at home.
Spring Break trips are being cancelled as flights and travel are restricted.
Restaurants are not open. We are cooking all meals at home. For some reason toilet paper is not to be found in stores.
Masks are being suggested, and required some places. For now, the president and governors have asked everyone to stay home.
Churches are closed, services are going to be online.
I have postponed my event, which was to be the first week of April.
April:
No more school for the rest of the year. No prom or graduation ceremonies. All virtual.
Restaurants are opening up for drive through services.
Masks are required when in public places.
Church is still online, but some have opened with limited numbers of people.
May:
State governors and officials have given out guidelines for businesses. I have rescheduled my event for the first week of June.
Churches are open, no childcare services. Masks required.
Summer starts...not sure when, it all runs together.
