Cameron is smart. Have I recorded that yet? He's mastered his multiplication tables, adding 3 digit numbers, subtracting triple digits, basic fractions, figuring area and we're working on perimeter. It hasn't come easily. Some days he just doesn't want to learn and I don't care how many people write books on just playing when they don't want to do school, I'm not doing that! He's going to sit and work, and if he doesn't, well, it's not pretty.
The boy is a master of manipulation and unfortunately Dad has been gone a lot this month. He's pushed me a little too far. Do you see that smile? Cameron is precious, but he learned (before he got here) that he can fight with his smile and learned endurance until he gets his way. We're working on it. And it's not easy, but it will be worth it...to see this smile and know it's because he's done his best and has confidence in doing the right things.
